| Abstract: |
Currently, no standards exist for the safe operation and communication between medical devices. By developing these standards, the Medical Device Plug n Play project aims to improve patient safety. Our group was tasked with gathering all of the requirements of the project and developing a mock system that demonstrates the possibilities of having medical devices function in coordination with each other. From initial design to final testing, we utilized a variety of technologies to implement a successful mock environment that integrated actual hardware in several scenarios to demonstrate the potential of the system. |
