| Abstract: | Includes a response from Crystal M. Bailey. I am very pleased and very happy to be with this group because of my long-standing respect and appreciation for librarians. You cannot begin to work on hundreds of publications many of them research-oriented without being aware of the kind of selfless dedication that I have always associated with librarians. I would like to share with you some general information about the future which I think is of common importance not only to librarians, but to persons in all lines of work. I hope that you will make allowances for some of the gaps in my knowledge with respect to the future as it pertains to library science. I will begin by reviewing my own experiences in the field of future studies. |
