Title: | Understanding Air Pollution Permits |
Author(s): | Jones, Gary |
Subject(s): | Air pollution -- Regulation
Printing industry -- Regulation |
Abstract: | Printers, both large and small, need to be aware of the revisions to air pollution permitting requirements that are being imposed across the country. In the quest for continuing air pollution emission reductions, an increasing number of printers and other businesses are now subject to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and state/local air pollution control permits because of their volatile organic compound (VOC) and to a lesser degree, hazardous air pollutant (HAP) emissions. The purpose of this fact sheet is to review the current status of air permitting that printers of all sizes could possibly be required to meet. |
