antimicrobial peptides
biocomputational physics
Abstract:We went from having four main "core elements" composed of earth, fire, water, and air to being able to describe the dynamics such as motion, interactions, speed of molecules with our fingers using a tool we called "computers." This picture isn't just a bunch of atoms and molecules such as water, POPC, and others. Well, it is. Besides that, this picture represents the work of thousands researchers and scientists that came before me, and by using chemistry, biology, physics, and computer science allow an 18-year-old undergrad to engage in cutting-edge research, carrying the torch of scientific progress forward. Let's continue working on the shoulders of giants, especially giants from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign who developed NAMD and VMD. And that's exciting!!
