Description

Title:Cyclically induced mechanical hysteresis of glass fiber reinforced plastic
Author(s):Sutton, Stephen A.
Subject(s):Machanical Hysteresis
Glass Fiber-reinforced Plastic
Abstract:GFRP unidirectional specimens under axial tensile-compressive cyclic loading at an angle of 45° to the fiber direction exhibited measurable hysteresis. The behavior of the hysteresis with cyclic loading was reported and the usefulness of this technique as a non-destructive testing tool discussed.
