Description

Title:Unified predictive technique for fatigue resistance of cast-ferrous based metals and high hardness wrought steels
Author(s):Mitchell, Michael Roger
Subject(s):Fatigue Resistance
Cast-ferrous Based Metals
High Hardness Wrought Steels
Steel Matrix Notches
Abstract:A technique which treats the free graphite in gray and nodular cast iron, gas pores and microshrinkage cavities in cast steels and inclusions in wrought, high hardness steels as notches in a steel matrix results in quantitative predictions of the fatigue resistance of these ferrous-based systems.
