Author(s):Wetenkamp, H.R.; Schrader, H.J.
Subject(s):Steel Wheels
Braking Cycles
Stresses
Abstract:Six new wheels were tested at the University in order to determine, in general, the susceptibility of the wheels to damage caused by braking cycles. The wheels were tested in a manner similar to the tests on ten 33" E.Q.S. wheels made during 1952 by the University. The results of these tests on four wheels are given in a report dated March 28, 1952, and the report on six wheels is dated September 5, 1952.
