Title:Problem in elastic theory of dislocations
Author(s):Ju, F.D.; Steele, M.C.
Subject(s):Elastic Theory
Abstract:Paper deals with the use of the elastic theory of dislocations for solving problems of non-homogeneous yielding. A hypothetical, radial Lueders’ line in a thick-walled cylinder is considered. A dislocation distribution is prescribed part way along a radius to conform to the Lueders’ line behavior. Solution is given in terms of infinite trigonometric series. Numerical computations are made and graphs presented to illustrate the variation of significant stress distributions.
