Abstract: A suburban public library with a long history of technological innovation chronicles its adventures during its first year of Internet connectivity, including staff use of electronic mail, TELNET, and File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Future plans include public use from the computer lab located in the library. A resource section includes information on how to get on the Internet and how to learn more about it through user guides.
