Title:ASIS&T's Information Professions Project: An Update

Abstract:In 2007, ASIS&T established a Task Force on Information Professionals to look at ways to recognize and promote the information professions broadly defined. Highlights of activity to date have been a commissioned study of master’s level programs in the US and Canada educating information professionals, and an initial meeting of information professional organizations to consider possible actions. Three members of the task force will discuss its work and related efforts.
