Illinois Mine Subsidence Research Program - Illinois State Geological Survey
The Illinois Mine Subsidence Research Program was established in 1985 as a multidisciplinary program to address all aspects of coal mine subsidence. Scientists from the ISGS, Southern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, Northwestern University, University of Illinois, and U.S. Bureau of Mines collaborated on their research. Reports in this series were published between 1986 and 1997 and included public information leaflets, booklets, and reports on significant results of research. Prepared in cooperation with the Illinois Coal Association, Illinois Farm Bureau, U.S. Bureau of Mines, Illinois Coal Development Board, Illinois Department of Mines and Minerals, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Department of Agronomy and Department of Civil Engineering, Northern Illinois University Department of Geology, Northwestern University, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Department of Mining Engineering, Abandoned Minded Lands Reclamation Council, Illinois Department of Agriculture, Illinois Mine Subsidence Insurance Fund, and Illinois Department of Energy and Natural Resources. The series is closed.
No. 1 (1988) to No. 12 (1996) and one edition produced in cooperation with the Illinois Mining Institute (1989).
