Abstract:Thin Film Transistors (TFT) sensors have a great potential for use in applications where flexible and stretchable circuits are necessary. This paper described the fabrication and properties of an array or temperature sensors with TFTs on a flexible plastic substrate. These devices composed of NiCr and TiPt are only about a micrometer thick. While there are many applications for a flexible temperature sensor, one such application is to provide accurate temperature measurements on the exterior of aircraft wings. This data is used in the development and testing of aircraft and in the flight of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).
