Imaging the Nanoscale Morphology of Grass Pollen Using Superresolution and High Contrast Optical Microscopy

 
There are nine videos in this repository that correspond to the article entitled “Imaging the Nanoscale Morphology of Grass Pollen Using Superresolution and High Contrast Optical Microscopy” by Cassandra J. Wesseln, Mayandi Sivaguru, Luke Mander, Glenn Fried, and Surangi W. Punyasena. Videos of 2D and 3D rendering of grass pollen images acquired via superresolution structured illumination microscopy (SR-SIM), laser scanning high resolution differential interference contrast microscopy (LS-HR-DIC) and widefield high contrast differential interference contrast microscopy (WF-HC-DIC) were created in the program Imaris using the key frame animation module (Bitplane Inc., Zurich, Switzerland). Multiple grass pollen species are represented in this video collection, and are noted in the video abstracts. This supplementary information originates from research supported by the National Science Foundation under NSF DBI-1262561 to SWP, DBI-1052997 to SWP, and NSF 1069157 to CJW.
