Title:Observation of a new 2Σ+ - 2Σ+ transition of PtF by intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy

Abstract:A new electronic transition of PtF was observed by intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy. Based on the theoretical calculations of the electronic structure, this spectrum is assigned as the $^{2}$$\Sigma$$^{+}$ - $^{2}$$\Sigma$$^{+}$ transition. PtF molecules were produced in a Pt-lined hollow cathode sputter source in Ar with a trace of SF$_{6}$. Results of the analysis will be presented.
