Library Trends 30 (4) Spring 1982: Mental Health: Information, Libraries and Services to the Patient. Edited by Phyllis Rubinton.

This issue of Library Trends is devoted to mental health information and will examine the "switching mechanisms" in this field - the mental health libraries and the state of mental health librarianship. It will look at some of the resources that do exist in the fields of computerized data bases, the law, mental retardation, audiovisuals, and history, and will also explore the role of the mental health librarian and the patient. This is the first attempt to bring together in one journal issue a number of important topics in the mental health field. It was not possible to include all subjects, but a special effort was made to high- light important areas, coverage of which is not easily accessible elsewhere.

Library Trends (ISSN 0024-2594) is an essential tool for librarians and educators alike. Each issue thoroughly explores a current topic of interest in professional librarianship and includes practical applications, thorough analyses, and literature reviews. The journal is published quarterly for the Graduate School of Library and Information Science by The Johns Hopkins University Press.
