Abstract: HERBERT GOLDHOR’S CONTRIBUTIONS TO librarianship and library education are many and varied. These contributions are reflected in this comprehensive bibliography of his publications, numbering over 175 items. The essay that accompanies the bibliography provides a brief sketch of Goldhor’s life and career and a discussion of two especially important aspects of his contributions: (1) public library service and administration (including the collection and publication of data for analysis and use by researchers and decision-makers); and (2) scientific research in librarianship.
