Abstract:The results of this study provide valuable information for community college student service personnel, course designers and policy makers who are interested in reducing attrition rates and improving the quality of instruction in online courses. Although this study was conducted at one institution, the implications for practice and policy may be helpful to other community colleges that are searching for strategies to improve retention rates in their online programs.
