Abstract:Finally, we report simulations on small pH2 droplets at low temperatures. We reconcile two intriguing observations whereby the clusters appear to be superfluid and yet show evidence for solid-like order. We find magic cluster sizes that exhibit a more rigid structure, due to inherent solid-like order. Other non-magic sizes quantum melt and become superfluid easily. Superfluidity is localized on the surface of large clusters, while solid-like order prevails at the core.
