Abstract:Conventional basis used to discretize the integral equations breaks down when an equivalence surface intercepts a current-carrying conductor. A tap basis scheme is proposed to accurately model the currents at the intersections to conserve the continuity and avoid charge singularities. Moreover, the multilevel fast multipole algorithm is used to accelerate the equivalence principle algorithm so that large multiscale problems can he solved efficiently.
