Abstract: | Finally, I conclude my study by suggesting that English language teachers deploy a contrastive analysis to help students understand how their ways of speaking differ from standard spoken English and other varieties of English, in preparation for developing appropriate speech accommodation strategies in interaction with other English speakers for effective communication. |
