Abstract:Also included is the results of a finite element analysis and simulated melting of bismuth films on various kinds of sensors. Temperature distributions are found to be nonuniform for calorimetric sensors with Al metallizations, but much more uniform for Pt metallized sensors. The consequences of this nonuniformity on caloric data are discussed.
