Abstract: | The thesis is organized as follows. Chapter 1 introduces some basic concepts of polymers, which are necessary for understanding the studies in the following chapters. Chapter 2 studies the critical phase transition in ternary polymer solutions. Chapter 3 studies the sol-gel transition of triblock copolymers. Chapter 4 and 5 investigate the translocation of a single polymer through a nanopore, focusing on the polymer translocation dynamics under external driving forces and the distribution of ions and water molecules inside (polarizable) nanopores, respectively. |
