Abstract: | Another large part of my dissertation is related with polymer interfacial dynamics. As one of the center topics of polymer physics, many models have been generated to understand polymer dynamics in bulk solutions and in melt. However, to study the dynamics of polymer at the interfaces is more complicated but has significant impact on the advanced technology. We borrowed Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS) from biophysics field to investigate thee molecular weight dependence, surface coverage dependence, surface property dependence of polymer interfacial diffusion. We also developed a set of novel instrumentations to study the translational dynamics of polymer melt within highly confined geometry. |
