Abstract: | The large internal cavities of PIZA-1 are a consequence of the trinuclear Co(II)carboxylate cluster forcing the ruffling of the porphyrin building blocks. The linear trinuclear metal-carboxylate cluster of PIZA-1 is contrasted with the bent trinuclear M(II) carboxylate clusters (M = Co, Mn) of isostructural 3-dimensional frameworks: PIZA-2 and PIZA-3. Containing near-planar metalloporphyrin macrocycles, PIZA-2 and PIZA-3 manifest lower void volumes (56%). |
