Abstract:This paper offers an overview of the transformation in Hungarian librarianship after 1990 and addresses the most important elements of professional development during the same period. The main organizations and types of libraries in the Hungarian library world are described. Information is provided on digital library projects and services, professional training and publications, and the development of international relations involving Hungarian librarians.
