Abstract:We present a novel virtual manual system for users to author and view virtual manuals on augmented reality devices. Augmented reality virtual manuals offer multiple advantages over traditional paper manuals. We explore the design space of building a virtual manual system on a variety of augmented reality devices with different features. Multiple sample virtual manuals are developed to demonstrate key usages and functionalities of a virtual manual system.
