Exploratory Research on the Relationship Between U.S. Media and the U.S. Prison System

Abstract

The research I have undergone incorporated popular U.S television shows and the public's opinion on the current U.S prison system. Through a survey, I asked a series of questions, some being demographic, and most others directly related to issues our modern U.S prison system faces. My aim for this research was to better understand any relationship between the impact of TV shows and how they may influence citizen's opinion on important matters regarding incarceration, including suffrage and education.
