The purpose of the scoping review is to gain a comprehensive understanding of how SDT has been applied to youth program design and staff training. The two empirical qualitative studies were conducted during a youth Summer Wellness Camp located in the Midwest. Study one examines the development, dissemination, and resultant impact of a Basic Psychological Needs Training with staff using an experimental design.
