The study consisted of three stages with a scoping review followed by quantitative and qualitative studies. The scoping review aimed to identify research trends related to kinesiology subdisciplinary knowledge in the existing literature. Subsequently, the quantitative research phase was undertaken to evaluate the proficiency of physical education teachers in three key domains: exercise physiology, biomechanics, and motor learning. To complement these findings and gain a comprehensive perspective, the qualitative research phase was conducted, yielding valuable descriptive, interpretive, and empirical data on kinesiology subdisciplinary knowledge in physical education.
