<dc:description>A model of cross-cultural consumer behavior is proposed, adding to the commonly accepted attitude-consumer behavior models (e.g. Fishbein and Ajzen 1975; Ajzen and Fishbein 1980), by incorporating Triandis's (1994) Model of Subjective Culture and Social Behavior Relationships. This model is related to a specific consumer behavior (intention to purchase a camera) and assessed with data from a consumer survey via a path analysis with composite variables, finding support for the proposed relationships.</dc:description>
<dc:description>In addition, the theories of individualism and collectivism are applied to the model to derive specific cross cultural hypotheses. These were tested via a comparison of path coefficients and means between countries.</dc:description>
