Prior research has shown the technology known as ""Groupware"" to be a plausible tool for facilitating collaborative behavior in groups. This study investigated whether Groupware can support the planning and decision-making activities (workplace meetings focused on actual task production) of small (3-15 individuals) groups of real-world professionals in a computerized collaborative meeting room." "Pre- and post-meeting questionnaires were administered and results were analyzed. Statistical results were supplemented by ethnographic description. Quantitative analysis results showed the use of Groupware was neutral as a factor in facilitating the planning process, while qualitative results showed that user evaluation of the new technology was universally positive.
