Williams, Kimberly M. 2012-02-01T00:56:53Z 2012-02-01T00:56:53Z 2014-02-01T11:00:36Z 2012-02-01T00:56:53Z 2011-12 The Expanded Adolescent STI Health Education and Screening Pilot Project was designed by the Adolescent Health Program of the Chicago Department of Public Health and the Chicago Public School’s Office of Special Education and Supports to combat the documented high rates of gonorrhea and chlamydia infections in Cook County, IL among teens and adolescents. The project was implemented to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STI) among adolescents in Chicago and to demonstrate the feasibility and need for an expanded STI prevention campaign among Chicago Public Schools (CPS) students. The recommendations, contained within this report, were developed for consideration among stakeholders for changes that should be made if the program is extended. The intention of the report is to serve as a guide for future programmatic decision-making.
