Palmer, Teresa M. 2014-12-12T19:57:32Z 2014-12-12T19:57:32Z 10000-01-01 1981 1981 This naturalistic exploratory study examines the nature and extent of the effects of American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation on continuing professional education programs in business for management personnel at public universities and the consequences of those effects. The study involved the development of a number of in-depth case studies of public institutions in various stages of AACSB accreditation or non-accreditation. On-site elite and specialized interviews, using an interview guide, were conducted to collect data concerning AACSB accreditation and its effects. Relevant documents from each institution were also examined. Data from a variety of role perspectives from each institution studied were subjected to qualitative analysis, using a number of types of content analysis techniques.
