In utilizing historical analysis the author was able to examine six affirmative admissions cases. This allowed the researcher to analyze and identify how the Courts responded to each reverse discrimination claim brought by undergraduate and professional university applicants. Historical analysis allowed the researcher to scrutinize how the affirmative admissions debated evolved over a period of time. Document analysis was the second research methodology implemented. Case holdings, case transcripts, interview transcripts, amicus briefs, expert testimony, and pro/con affirmative action group judicial response reports served as primary sources for the document analysis.
