The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of what structural components are conducive for creating strong mentoring bonds and establishing positive mentoring relationships. In this study eight mentor/mentee pairs from Prairie Elementary School of Urbana, IL were observed and interviewed. Additionally, mentors were surveyed and other adults involved in the program were also interviewed.
