<dc:description>The qualitative research study was conducted at the Blue Island Head Start Center. The study included interviewing parents, teachers, and Head Start staff concerning parental involvement. The Blue Island Head Start program differs from the Champaign program in two distinctive ways: the program has an established male involvement component and significant portions of the families are Latino/a. In addition, the diversity of the center demands introducing the bilingual/bicultural materials and language support in English as Second Language (ESL) within each of the classrooms.</dc:description>
