<dc:description>The findings suggest a number of implications for youth worker practice, and for future research and evaluation. Youth workers are in a unique position that bridges the multiple worlds of youth and affords them the opportunity to move along a continuum of personal and professional relationships with youth. The youth worker's ability to read a situation and respond with the appropriate type of role is one important aspect of their competency. Further research is needed to investigate the various challenges that youth workers face in their daily practice. An argument is made for a move towards a praxis-oriented approach to evaluation that attends youth worker's practical knowledge.</dc:description>
