A more pronounced influence was noted regarding remedies, but state sovereign immunity protections and the recent narrowing of immunity overshadowed the discussion of the impact of USSC decisions. The rationales for increased protection were not realized with regard to state dignity, but protection of the state treasury was an important rationale articulated by all three groups of practicing attorneys.
