          <dc:description>To explore the application potential of the RMPA in wireless communication systems, its behavior is studied when integrated onto a laptop computer. Two integration positions are selected based on the electromagnetic visibility study (EVS) and prior work. The measurement shows that the frequency response and reconfigurability of the antenna are almost unaffected after the integration although the pattern varies because of the larger ground plane presented by the laptop chassis. The behavior of a four-element RMPA phased array is studied and compared with a typical patch array. The smallest practical element spacing of antennas is chosen in both arrays. It is observed that the RMPA array has a smaller scan angle than the patch array because of larger element spacing. However, in comparison with the patch array, the RMPA array has a much more constant gain across the scan range and lower side lobe level at large scan angles, which make it more suitable for some application scenarios.</dc:description>
