<dc:description>Predissociation of the rubidium dimers has been coherently controlled by chirped femtosecond laser pulses. Molecular wavepackets are proved to govern the dissociation process. The structure, location, and motion of the molecular wavepacket determine the preference and coverage of dissociation channels. Dissociation mechanism of the rubidium dimers is deduced by comparing experimental data and simulations of molecular wavepacket generation.</dc:description>
