<dc:description>High-level power estimation requires power macromodel for different blocks which are easy to use and automatically constructed. The main contribution of this research is the development of macromodels for average power, energy for every input vector pair (energy per cycle) and peak-current for every input vector pair (peak current per cycle), for different logic styles. Another contribution of this research is automatic developments of these macromodels based on recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm. Due to simplicity and automatic generation of the macromodels, the macromodels can be combined with any RT tool, which in turn enables the designer to explore area, delay, and power space early in the design.</dc:description>
