<dc:description>Paul Dulaney Converse's career spanned a critical time in the development of the discipline of marketing. His education included seminars from the early marketing pioneers, and he contributed to the education of many early marketing scholars through his textbooks and articles. Converse was also highly involved in the earliest marketing professional organization, the National Association of Teachers of Marketing and Advertising (NATMA), and its transition into today's American Marketing Association (AMA). The research presented here highlights Converse' scholarly contributions of research, teaching, and service to the professionalization of the academic discipline of marketing.</dc:description>
