Data were collected from one hundred and fifty hikers in a popular Midwest state park. Emotions were assessed before, periodically during (at 20-minute interval), and after the hike. Satisfaction judgments were assessed periodically during (at 20-minute interval) and after the hike. In general, study findings lend support to the notion that emotions have significant effects on both during- and post-activity satisfaction judgments, and suggest that temporal aspects of emotions are important for understanding the relationships between emotions and leisure experience evaluations.
