A combination of Feature Geometry, CV Phonology, and Moraic Phonology is used for their representation; thus contributing to the growing evidence in favor of a two-tier approach where both a moraic tier and a CV tier are present in the same analysis. Therefore, I suggest that for Eastern Andalusian in particular, and Spanish in general, a nonlinear model within generative phonology results in a satisfactory explanatory account of the phonetic data.
