Death is not yet perceived as an independent and alienating power, but as a part of the order of Creation, and therefore as a part of the order of the Arthurian world. If human beings cannot understand this order in its totality, however they may learn how to die from experience of life, from meditation inspired by monastic tradition, and from thoughtful reading of romances.
