Abstract
Betti's reciprocal theorem is used to derive integral equations for problems involving an axisymmetric flat toroidal crack. Numerical estimates for stress intensity factors in fracture mechanics are improved by use of the M-integral conservation law. Stress intensity factors for torsion and uniform tension are given.
