Abstract
Discussion of the project that resulted in the Center's first research report on historical hazardous waste sites in Illinois. The sites were located in the Lake Calumet area, Rockford, and East St. Louis. The project pioneered research on historical hazardous industrial waste activity and led to the development of tools to support real estate transactions and Superfund litigation.
