Abstract
In Library and Information Science (LIS), practitioners meet the needs of their users through tailored services. One subset of library users are individuals with disabilities. This review analyzes how papers published in the LIS literature address library users with disabilities through research methodologies and frameworks. Initial findings suggest that work about library users with disabilities still employs methods that generate data from others, not directly from users with disabilities themselves. Results from this study bring about a call to action for more inclusive, expansive work in LIS research to learn directly from individuals with disabilities.
