George Senter, a Scotsman scientist, studied the decompn. of hydrogen peroxide by blood and discovered the role of enzymes in this reaction. An account of the work of George Senter on this discovery is presented, particularly his various attempts to isolate the enzyme and his studies on the effect of heat and additives on the catalytic decompn. of hydrogen peroxide.
