- Abstract
- At a meeting of the Northeastern Section of the American Chem. Society in Boston, Dec., 1909, a group of chem. professors proposed the formation of a "Chem. Round Table.". Its purpose was to provide the opportunity for New England college chem. teachers to convene and to exchange information and ideas about their profession. An official name for the organization was chosen in 1916 - Ouroboros, which is the circular serpent poised with the tail in its mouth, signifying the totality of nature. This article lists the group's topics of discussion from the 1920s to the 1980s. There have been no meetings held since 1994, and the group has disbanded.
